看到头像两个字，不少同学第一时间会想到head photo或head picture，如此直译，老外或许会以为你在说关于头部的特写图片。其实，用微信英文版的同学就会发现，微信里面是用profile photo这个表达来表示头像。所以，头像更准确的表达是：profile photo / picture。
